My 4th octave F string is frayed. It will break any moment. I'm so nervous when I play Morganna (my harp) because when a string pops, someone (namely me) could lose an eye. It's like a Jack in the Box. You know the scary clown is going to jump out, but you just don't know when.

It's enough of an ordeal changing the four strings on my fiddle, it takes me weeks to work myself up to it. I can't imagine doing on my little 22 string harp, never mind your big one!
What a beautiful picture.
Um....goggles, perhaps?
I was going to suggest the same thing as Mia!
I think those strings prefer intercostal breathing.
Just go "mmmm" and then go "nn".
Perfect synchronicity with the vibrations of the strings.
Is that so abstruse??
Go figure from none other than...
Change it before it pops, you silly goose. lol
I did. I changed it today and swore until the paint was peeling from the walls!
