The kids got out of school for Christmas vacation today. Well, actually they are supposed to go a half day tomorrow but a certain teacher friend of mine told me that teachers hate it when parents send their kids on that last half day because they are trying to tie up all the loose ends and babysit at the same time. So my two finished up today. My mom is home from the hospital, in very little pain, and off work for 90 days to recuperate. She's really young, only 54 (and yes, I am 35, and no, I was not an accident), so she should be better than ever within a month, I predict.
My Christmas shopping is almost done. I have a couple more things to pick up for Lina and Huck, and about 300 peanut butter balls (AKA buckeyes) to make. A harp gig at an art museum tomorrow night.
But things are slowing down a little, thanks be. Today I watched The Bishop's Wife and stitched. Yesterday I watched It's a Wonderful Life and stitched. I really enjoy the week before and the week after Christmas. It's usually slow and easy. All that's left are the gatherings with my favorite people. Well, with the exception of Chris' family. Not my favorite people. Nor his. But I digress...

AZ glad to have found your new blog thanks to peacegoddess... I was so upset when I found out what happened, it was just one more thing to get under my skin, we had an incident not far from home where a pentacle display got vandelized and then I read someplace eles that it happened and then to find out about you it just made me upset with people and how they treat others... The preach all this love and crap but only if you are like them... I hope you have a wonderful yule and christmas... brightest blessings to your family and you
PG, I LOVE it!
Draven, thanks for your rage :-)
Glad things are going well.
Mine went for their 2 hour day yesterday and most of the kids seemed to be there because all they do are the Xmas parties.
Glad to hear that your Mom is doing better!
