On the way home from Lina's baton practice, we were chatting about this and that. She was telling me about one her friend's mom, who is very strict. So I asked her how she would describe me. She said "Well, you are really calm. It takes a lot to jerk your chain. And you laugh all the time."
Then when I got home, I checked on Huck. He was at the computer, jamming to Linkin Park on YouTube. When he saw me, he grinned and said "What's for supper?", then went back to "Everything you say to me takes me one step closer to the edge and I'm about to break".
And in the next room, the tree lights were shining, and Chris was sitting with bed head and a cup of coffee.
Good stuff.

I make the yummiest pancakes. And cookies. The kids say so, so it must be true. It's the little things that make me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Also, I had a good giggle at the church sign.
I agree the church sign is appropriate for this blog. glad you are a calm mom, that is good parenting. I yell too much.
Exactly.
This morning, I woke up and padded into the kitchen, where AlternaChef was standing shirtless in his pajama pants, stirring the sugar into the coffee he had made for me and already smiling at me. He handed me my coffee and a little plate with buttered toast and organic honey.
I sat at the breakfast bar, bleary-eyed and sipping my coffee as happy as I have ever been in my life. I have been anti-Christmas all season, but in the glow of his warmth, it was impossible not to get snuggly and enjoy a little holiday cheer.
This definitely warms a boyfriend's heart.
Wow! I finally found it! LOVED talking to you tonight for 2 hours. IT HAS BEEN TOOOOOOOOO LONG! I will write mo' later when I am not so sleepy....is there any chance in naming a kitty 'Odie'???
Ichabod, I loved talking to you too. It was like only a week had past instead of 1000 years.
