It all began again today. The kids and I both started a new semester. I have 5 classes this time and then I will be DONE DONE DONE DONE DONE!!!! I will finish my classes in April and begin my internship to graduate in May. Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, I will be gainfully employed by June. And perhaps will no longer be po' folk.

You go Girl! :) A light at the end of the tunnel, that's nice.
I'm only just starting on my journey. Wish I'd gotten off my ass sooner. But I do have 36 credits to carry over from my misspent youth, so that will help.
Best wishes for your last semester.
I remember my last semester of Nursing school. It was probably my most difficult because my normal nearly nonexistent attention span plunged into nothingness. Add the days getting longer and the twitchy factor rising at an exponential rate, I settled for "passing" in the written classes and thanked the Universe every day I completed a clinical rotation without killing someone or having to place a foley catheter on an obese woman. (My two worst nursing school nightmares...both are nearly impossible to do) Nuff said about me...Energy Bubbles to you, soon to be "queen of everything" or at least "princess of quite a lot."
For the un-enlightened...a foley catheter is placed internally via the couchee to drain urine directly out of the bladder. Add a few extree folds of tissue, some large thighs, five nurses (two on each side of the patient managing said large thighs and one to hold the flashlight) and the pressure of keeping your hands STERILE while inserting the catheter and I'd almost rather do to the dentist about 5 times. I'm in a sweat just thinking about it.
I'm cheering for you.
Peace Goddess-reading that nearly made me collapse into a dead faint

Try being in the thick of it, sister.
;)
Marthaberry: Been there, done that. You are right...the receiving end is much worse. That's why I push for placement after the patient is already sedated.
