I am in clinicals right now and I LOVE the hospital. From the first day I set foot there (back in November) I knew that it was where I wanted to work. It's small, but not too small. Small enough to be "hometown" but large enough that I would have enough work to keep me busy.
Trouble is, there are currently no openings. I've been telling the other Coders that they need to move on to greener pastures so that I can have their jobs. Today, while working with the ER chart Coder, she told me that she had interviewed for another job, and was going to take the coding test tomorrow for employment at that hospital, to ensure that she knows her stuff. Turns out, hers is the EXACT job I want!
So, let's all dance naked in the woods, light the candles, pray, meditate, whatever it is that we do, that she can get the job that she wants, so that I can get her job, the one that I want.

Well, I offered, but you won't let me pray for her to have a stroke, so I am all out of ideas.
I'm afraid the trees around here are too sparse in number, and, well...it would be a little bold to, uh.....
Well, anyhow, that's really not a problem.--I'll simply do a raindance in the shower and imagine tucans nearby, all singing in synchronicity....
and then it will happen I am sure, for those of us investing in jungle stocks...
