Chris, Lina and Huck, about 20 minutes before sunsetYes, it was wonderful! We left Nestlewood Friday morning at 5:30 AM, were on Dauphin Island by lunchtime, eating crawfish tails and shrimp. We did downtown Mobile that evening and the first half of Saturday. Huck and Chris said the exhibit was amazing. Meanwhile, Lina and I spent the first part of that morning shopping in Cathedral Square. Mobile is a wonderful city. Artistic, but with the Deep South flavoring.
We went to Gulf Shores Saturday evening and spent the day there Sunday as well. Lina said that this should be our Mother's Day tradition, that from now on we should all come to the beach on Mother's Day, even when she and Huck grow up and bring their own children. I think that's a wonderful idea.

Glad yall had a great time! Sounds like a great tradition to keep!
AZ,
I'm happy to see that you had such a wonderful time. Lina is right, you should make this a family tradition. Congrats on graduation!
BTW: You and Chris are a lovely couple. Nice photos!
Best wishes, on your continued success,
Morgan
Suckin' crawdads! That is one of my kids favorite things to do.
(I can't bear to watch...but still!)
Have you heard about that job yet?!
Sounds like you had a blast. I used to go to Orange Beach when I lived in Pensacola. I miss the super white sands of the gulf coast sometimes.
Nice pics, too!
Your vacation looks dreamy. Glad you had a nice Mom's day too
