No, it isn't, actually. Chris hasn't been off work on December 31 since 1993. He has either been at Red Lobster (or both of us have), or he has been at the hospital, working, while I have been home pregnant or breastfeeding or taking care of little bitty ones. So today, we are enjoying ourselves. Huck is at a friend's house. Lina is on her way to the mall with Breezy. Much wine has been poured, and many a funny movie has been watched. Last night, we went to Drew's house for a pre New Year's party. Drew, her hubby and kids, Cameron and Enrique(her Latin lover), me, Chris and our kids. And we met a new friend, Tenore, who was hanging with us before he went to pick up his husband from the airport on his return from a pilgrimage to Mecca.
Drew out did herself with the food,(as did Enrique and Tenore), gifts were exchanged, as well as much laughter and good cheer.
And Drew gave Huck a mouse skeleton. Doesn't she know him well?

I had so much fun last night with everyone--enjoyed your beautiful voice and husband (lol).
--Hope ya'll can come down some time for food and friendship; perhaps in the context of an art salon if ya'll enjoy that sort of thing.
Oh, by the way, I don't know if you're familiar with "LaSciate Mi Morire"; but "Shot me" is suddenly workiing wonders for creating a bull's eye effect.
Phrases, phrases, phrases....I'm incorrigible.
Enjoyed your blog!
Il Tenore
Who is Enrique and Tenore? We need photographic evidence .
(Buona sera, il mio tenore... wink). I may be married, but I ain't dead goddamnit!
Who are those gorgeous women?
PG, I have no idea who they are. I just liked the picture.
CB, you all ready have a photo of Enrique. You just call him Jorge the Pool Boy. And Tenore is great. You will be buds if you ever get to meet him.
And, Tenore, what is that phrase? And name the day and we will love an art salon.
