Magick is Afoot

Thumbelina is positive that she has magical powers. She KNOWS that she is part animal and can talk to animals. Just this very moment, she is making a potion. African violets for protection, eye of newt, dragon's scale, tooth of the wolf. She is putting all of these in a little glass dish. She wants to let it sit under the moon.

She, Huck and a neighbor are going out to the woods to the rock where the "dragon claw mark is." Huck said "Do you want to bring my BB gun?" Lina said "No, because if there are any magickal creatures, the gun will scare them away."

Can you tell she is my child?

I wanna freakin' be your neighbor.

The fairies, dragons and the egyptian gods and goddesses reign at the House in the Forest.

And Magick is always afoot.

HRM, I would love to post a pic. But Lina said only children can see it.

AWWW! I love hearing about her letters to Pixie.

Tell Thumbelina to keep an eye out, Pixie finally remembered to post her letter this morning!

I still remember when my young grand nephew was sure he was going to be able to fly after winning the longer end of the wishbone. Oh, to have those dreams. Thank goodness his memory was short.

I can totally relate to this. I was convinced that fairies lived in our woods (you MIGHT see them at twilight) because there were so many mushrooms and so much moss- my imaginations' perfect fairy realm. I could also count on finding at least one fairy ring (mushrooms growing in a large circle) every fall *sigh* Little holes in trees, flowers, acorn hats, tiny spider webs...

This is a scream. She is so your daughter, but she is also our mother's granddaughter, and as such is going to be very conflicted by all this!

Not that I can relate.

That is just wonderful. Magick is really afoot.

My kids were like. But ours was ghosts. Since we've always lived in one haunted house or another, they grew up seeing them. Not a strange occurance for one to open the laundry room door, throw the item in and say as they were closing the door..."Theres a guy standing in the laundry room." Not fazed by it at all. My response always was "Well, ask him what he needs?"
