What do I want in 2008? Well first and foremost, a healthy happy family. That one is easy. The specifics? Well, they get pretty complicated, as specifics tend to do.
1. Get my ass back to exercising 3X a week. I haven't hit a lick at a snake since late November. Now at my age,(35) 3X a week doesn't equal weight loss. It only means I don't get any bigger. Maintaining the status quo, if you will. Which really sucks ass, but I digress...
2. Graduate from college. 17 years after high school graduation, but, oh well. I am almost there.
3. Eat vegetables every day. Now, I hate to eat vegetables. Fruit too, for that matter. But I know they are good for me. The fruit, I figure I get in the fermented group. Vegetables? Salsa and Spaghetti sauce. Check.
4.Play my harp every day. And sing. This is an easy one, as I do this anyway.
5.Maintain my relationship with those I love dearly. You know who you are.
6.Maintain my relationship with my parents. This one can be tricky, as we are so different. But I am willing to work at it.

Several of my resolutions match yours--hmm...wonder how common that is.
Here are some (unsolicited, lol) tips from your LC buddy:
1) Choose a form of exercise you enjoy--this will motivate you to meet your goal. For me, I'm motivated to go out and play tennis!--Queens, queens, queens.
2) Same thing for foods. Choose fruits and vegetables you like; or find some recipes you might enjoy. For example, home-made smoothies.
3) Be gentle with yourself--by staying detached from your goals.--Visions are not designed to create anxiety and frustration!
Quiet observation and compassion are always necessary.
Good luck!

I know you'll look back on this list and said, check, check, check, check, check, check!
I hope I'm one of your #5s.
hey!
I like your resolutions. I didnt make any this year, but maybe I need to.
Is it safe to put you on my links list?
Thank you Life Coach Tenore. I like to walk and run and kickbox. I have just been lazy lately. And the fruit and veggie thing is hard. I don't know that there are any that I like. Fruit sets my teeth on edge. I like tomatoes and peppers. Hence, the spaghetti sauce and salsa. And I'm never gentle with myself. Anxiety and Frustration are my middle names :-)
Nash, of course you are one of my #5. If you weren't we wouldn't still be friends even though we have only seen each other once in 14 years!
Susangalique, yes, just list me as kitsch and giggles. Thanks!
Good luck with your resolutions!!
P.S. I see that your darling brother has moved on to greener pastures. Has he given up blogging, or has he just incarnated into a new form? Email me Hon!
I know a lot of people who don't like veggies because usually in the USA (as far as I have noticed) they are always prepared in unattractive ways if that makes sense.
Do you hate all fruits? Even smoothies? In the morning I have a smoothie with vanilla soy milk, some flax powder and frozen fruit. Almost like a mixed drink (minus the alcohol...)
You hate fruits and veggies and yet you went vegetarian for a while? *raises eyebrow at the crazy woman*
