A couple of weeks ago, I decided that life was too short to drink out of plain old glasses. Why do that when there is so much fun glassware out there?
Once upon a time, I had 3 Smurf glasses. Sweet Bruhver broke Smurfette (because after all, from what other glass would he drink?) back in 1995, and I still haven't got over that. Chris broke another one, and all I had left was Baker Smurf. I drink Diet Pepsi out of the Baker Smurf glass all the time, just because it makes me happy. So I decided to peruse ebay and see if I could find some more fun glasses.
Lo and behold, I did. I got 2 Camp Snoopy glasses, a Care Bear glass,a Lazy Smurf glass, and a Wicket the Ewok Return of the Jedi glass, all for about $15, shipping and all. I actually also won a Hefty Smurf glass and a Papa Smurf glass, but they arrived broken. But since I'd only paid 99 cents each for them, why cause a stink, right? It would be like taking something back to a yard sale.
So, now, the entire clan at Nestlewood drinks from fun cartoon glasses. Counting a Charlie Brown glass that I already had and a Tasmanian Devil Six Flags glass that mom is going to give me, we probably have enough that all our dinner guests can drink from cartoon glasses too, making for fun evenings.

Love it! I have Smurfette... and none of the 4 males in the house are allowed to drink from it. I also have a yellow plastic gun cup that I brought from my parents house when I got married. One of my brothers had a red one just like it, and we would shoot each other across the table. Now my middle son covets the yellow gun cup. Happy times at the supper table....
I want to drink from the lazy Smurf glass. Care Bears make me nervous.
How old are the Charlie Bropwn glasses? I bet those are worth something.
All these glasses are from the early 80s. They are pretty cheap on eBay.
I LERVE IT!
Oh, and btw, sis. Dump the word verification thing. It's a waste of time. Also enable open ID on your commonets so I can link to the new blog and not the old with my comments.
Thank you.

Didn't they stop making these types of glasses because of a lead paint scare? I'm just sayin'...
Who the hell is Baker Smurf? Do you mean Greedy? ;)
