Oasis

Nestlewood has been an oasis this weekend. I worked 40 hours at the hospital last week (free labor, as I was doing a clinical rotation) and did homework before and after work. Chris was home 3 days and cooked breakfast and supper, bought groceries, did laundry, cleaned the kitchen...I totally had a wife! He went out of town Friday night, though, and I have been on my own with, count them, SEVEN, children!

But you know what? It was great. They are big kids, four 8 year olds and three 10 year olds, so it isn't as though I was changing diapers or anything. I could throw some pallets out in the living room floor, show them where the snacks and drinks are and then I could read or sew, make candles or watch "Medium" (which is my current obsession). I didn't have all seven of them at once. 5 at a time was my max, 4 at a time my minimum, and a couple just dropped in here and there.

Normally, I don't enjoy country music, but this song is perfect for me and the oasis of this weekend. Nestlewood has been my Mayberry. Sweet Bruhver, if you click on the link, I can promise you that your ears will bleed and you will claw the walls, as it is such a breeder song. But you will enjoy the eye candy of the men who make up Rascal Flatts.

I found "Medium" a couple years ago and I love it too. I like that their family seems like a real family and they live in a normal house...and the husband is a cutie!

Hubby & I both enjoy watching Medium. Did you know that the real-life Joe has his own blog?

Its rarely updated but still interesting to compare/contrast the real Joe with the TV Joe

So, I listened to about 7 seconds of the song and my ears began to bleed and I had the urge to claw at the walls.

It sounds like that guy had a nose job gone bad and is now ever destined to talk/sing through one nare.

AZ~you must have a greater appreciation for certain kinds of music than I do.
