The interview went well the other day. I had to take a 3 1/2 hour Coding test. So far, only one person in North Alabama has passed this test, as a score of 80 or above is considered a passing grade. The job itself is way more than what I saw myself doing while still wet behind the ears. I would be a concurrent coder, meaning that my job will be to go through the charts while patients are still in the hospital and figure out the appropriate
DRG, querying physicians on a daily basis for more specific chart documentation. Eek! I had planned on a little hidey hole office at first, eventually moving into a big girl position like this one. We shall see. It all depends on my test score.
Until I get a call about my test score, I am hanging out at Nestlewood, blissfully watching movies, cooking, making candles and keeping my house clean as a whistle. Today I am watching Somewhere in Time. Christopher Reeve is so beautiful. I think I may be in love.
And just to show my random trivia knowledge, when Chris Reeves' character goes back in time to 1912 and wakes up in the hotel room? A lady is walking around getting dressed. She's humming "You made me love you ( I didn't want to do it)." This is quite the anachronism, as that song was recorded by Al Jolsen in 1913.

I remember the first time I saw that movie. I kept mumbling to myself "Don't look at the penny, DON'T LOOK AT THE PENNY!" But what does he do....LOOKS AT THE PENNY. Geesh.
Hey AZ,
I hope you find a perfect job. But even if you take one and don't like it, it doesn't mean you have to be stuck there. YOu probably know a lot more than you feel like you do. Job descriptions are so often beefed up to sound important.
I also wanted to say that I got the postcard, I love looking at the speci-man and I so appreciate being thought of while you were on vacation.
It looked as though ya'll had a wonderful time. And I agree with Lina that you ought to make it an annual mothers day thing.
Mammy! Mammy!
Such a beautiful film! I still can't believe that he's gone...
Oh I love love love that movie!! A little bit sci-fi, a little bit romance, and gorgeous cinematography and costuming.
