Last night Chris and I sat and drank wine and ate junk food while we watched Gladiator, and listened to a 10 year old and two 8 year olds goof around and giggle (ours + 1). I ended up going to bed at about 11:30, feeling...less than in control of my faculties, shall we say.
And, didn't I wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning a little before 5 AM? Why, yes, I did. And all three kids woke up a few minutes later, already laughing and having fun. So, here I was a little after 6 AM frying up some bacon, scrambling some eggs and toasting some bagels listening to Evanescence, Weezer, Jason Mraz, The Andrews Sisters, Britney Spears, Bostifer Jones ( from Cats), Beethoven and singing, happy to be a part of the human race.

ounds nice!
11:30? Say it ain't so? I thought you turned into a pumpkin at 9PM. LOL
Sounds like fun, although I would have to kill my kids if they woke me up that early. lol
It's b/c you were watching Gladiator. You were refreshed and pleasured by what I call The Phoenix Factor.
I'm not sure about odd, but definitly admirable. If my kid got up at 5am, I'd hit them with a tranquilizer dart to make them sleep until 8
I was up at 7, but not singing happy songs. I was arguing with my 17 year old son why it WAS TO his fault that the dog ate his sun glasses. If YOU leave them lying on the couch in plan sight, yes indeed the puppy is gonna eat them. And NO it really isn't dog fault, it is YOUR fault for not putting YOUR things away or in YOUR room. Geesh.
He still doesn't get it.
I was up at 7 to go to a class. It seems like school will never be over!
I was up at 7 and made bacon and oat bran waffles.
Even Brian got out of bed for that!
I just can't sleep with the sun poking me in the eyes.
Yes, you are an odd one. But we love you anyway! ;)
